Job Description

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:

  • manage the communication email account and develop and distribute material such as flyers, announcements and notifications.
  • write and edit material including press releases, public statements, content for digital platforms, and other relevant materials
  • develop and produce communications material including videos, articles and stories
  • track the impact and performance of communication-specific activities
  • manage the communication email account and develop and distribute material such as flyers, announcements and notifications.
  • write relevant Standard Operating Procedures that help in building capability
  • facilitate in media relations and management, including facilitating media requests and queries
  • lead strategic initiatives with the media and public to meet communications objectives
  • support the CEO with their communications, including memos, messages and handling their Twitter handle
  • proofread submitted blogs, articles etc. and writing articles for the website to support communications efforts
  • work with AKUH’s PR agency and act as their point person
  • work on projects and assignments as requested by departmental management

Requirements:
You should have:

  • at least two years of related work experience in a communications role at a corporation or a non-profit organization
  • excellent communication skills in English and Urdu
  • a Bachelors degree, preferably a Masters degree in Communications or Journalism from a recognized institution
  • strong writing skills and ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and be able to meet deadlines and targets
  • proficiency in MS Office and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
