Job Description
Data plays a vital role in all aspects of our operations, from audits to transformations. The Chief Data Office is responsible for enabling the growth and success of the Pakistan Firm by ensuring that data is trusted, protected, easy to use, and provides valuable insights.
Our vision is to promote the responsible use of data to make informed business decisions and create value for our clients, both internal and external. The Data Governance & Policy team, part of the CDO, works to establish clarity, structure, and coherence through policies and frameworks that cover all types of data and the entire data lifecycle.
We are currently seeking a Data Governance and Strategy Lead who will assist in the adoption of data frameworks and standards, enabling more efficient and effective achievement of our data-related goals.
The role entails:
- Collaborating across the firm to enhance data literacy and identify opportunities arising from data.
- Working with key stakeholders to develop guidance that supports policy understanding and adoption.
- Assisting in the development of a framework to assess and measure the effectiveness of data framework implementation.
- Supporting the development and adoption of relevant data policies and governance frameworks aligned with our data ambitions.
- Collaborating with related teams (e.g., Data Privacy, Network Information Security, Global CDO) to identify, agree upon, and implement changes and improvements to existing policies or the creation of new policies to better support our data ambitions.
- Clarifying Data Ownership roles and responsibilities, facilitating the network of Data Owners to ensure their needs are addressed by the CDO.
- Escalating conflicts or complex challenges, if needed, to the CDO leadership team for resolution.
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Knowledge and/or experience in Data Policy, Governance, or Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in data and its potential applications.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management.
- Capacity to understand complex requirements.
- Curiosity, resilience, cultural awareness, and a can-do attitude.
Education: CA/ACCA (Chartered Accountant/Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
