Careem Grocery, an exciting new vertical within Careem, is on a mission to transform the grocery shopping experience. As a startup within a startup, we are in the early stages of developing our product and tackling fundamental challenges to achieve ambitious growth goals in this emerging space. As a Data & Analytics Manager, you will play a vital role in integrating data-driven decision-making across Grocery functions and topics. This unique position offers an opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of individuals in our region.

Responsibilities:

• Structure and conduct analyses to address critical business questions, collaborating with analysts to derive actionable insights.
• Translate data into clear, concise, and actionable presentations/reports to guide business decisions and present to the Grocery leadership team.
• Drive business growth by enhancing the product funnel and designing experiments to test interventions.
• Serve as the custodian of key business metrics and analyses that drive strategic decisions.
• Establish a strong feedback loop with the product team on feature performance.
• Collaborate closely with commercial teams across markets to scale product feature roll-outs.
• Optimize and automate dashboards and reports to fulfill daily data and analytics requests.
• Develop new data platforms as needed to unlock novel insights.

Requirements:

• Enthusiasm and drive to understand business context, translate business needs into analytics requests, and lead analysis to derive insights.
• 2-3 years of experience in analytics roles within high-growth tech startups or similar data-intensive product environments.
• Proficiency in SQL and Tableau or equivalent visualization tools (with 2-3 years of professional experience).
• Grit and perseverance to tackle hands-on challenges and address them directly.
• Passionate commitment to improving people’s lives and a strong alignment with core values and purpose.
• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex findings clearly to diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of explaining complex concepts at any level.
