Job Description

As a Deputy Manager in Budgeting & Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and fixed assets accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute month-end accruals and adjustments.
  • Assist in generating reports, including half-yearly and annual supplementary packs.
  • Create variance analysis reports, comparing actual results with budget and prior periods.
  • Ensure prudent monitoring of expenses and cost flows to prevent excessive spending.
  • Regularly assess departmental expenses to identify any unanticipated outlays.
  • Collaborate with various departments to collect and consolidate budgetary and forecast data while adhering to regional deadlines.
  • Analyze budget and forecast data against trends and business assumptions.
  • Prepare profit and loss statements by tariff to evaluate profitability across different service categories.
  • Maintain an updated fixed assets register, ensuring accurate reconciliation and depreciation calculations with the ledger.
  • Coordinate with both internal and external auditors for annual statutory and regulatory audits, as well as other assigned tasks.
  • Contribute to the preparation of board financials and conduct half-yearly balance sheet analytics.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) or part-qualified CA.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior budgeting-related experience within a Big 4 audit firm.
  • Thorough expertise in budgeting, accounting, audit, and internal controls.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
  • Proficiency in working independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Effective communication skills and sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, coupled with a client-centric attitude.
