Job Description
A leading banking platform built for small business owners, freelancers and entrepreneurs is looking for a Head of Data. The candidate will be responsible for setting up data engineering and infrastructure pipelines. The platform enables business owners to carry out simple business banking with no hidden fees. The selected candidate is expected to be familiar with the required tools and knowledgeable on how to approach problems effectively. Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure completed projects meet and exceed campaign goals
- Possess an in-depth understanding of your product area, and systems
- Understand and follow standardized software engineering processes
- Guide fellow team members on the best practices to be followed and mentor junior engineers
Job Requirements:
- Must have prior experience setting up data engineering and infrastructure pipeline
- Knowledge of the type of tools and techniques that can be used for increased efficiency
- Must have prior experience working with a professional team of various skill levels
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Skilled at tackling complex problems and solving them methodically in an analytical manner
- Excellent communication skills and a team player
