Job Description

We are looking for an International Remittances Manager to join our team and help us grow our international remittance business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international remittances, with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans, build relationships, and manage a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for the Easypaisa remittance business, including market research, product development, marketing, and user acquisition strategy.
  • Keep abreast of other operational changes, market developments, innovations, and trends locally and internationally.
  • Maintain a productive relationship with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for follow-up on new Partner additions and other IR-related approvals.
  • Develop plans to sustainably grow IR business volumes by working with key stakeholders of the IR value chain both at the sender and receiver sides.
  • Own the end-to-end customer experience of IR receivers in Pakistan and also influence sending partners to improve the user experience on the sender side and awareness about Easypaisa.
  • Lead the remittance team, manage and mentor a team of professionals in different countries, and oversee the daily operations of the remittance business.
  • Ensure the International Transfer and Remittance business is aligned with the business objectives and desired customer experience and contributes to increasing share of wallet, customer retention, and product profitability.
  • Manage and improve the overall back-end operations of the International Remittance business of the bank for smooth processing of all types of transactions minimizing errors and rejections.
  • Identify key partnerships and drive business engagement with partners to establish strategic partnerships for International Transfers and remittances.
  • Analyze market trends and assess market competition leveraging industry data to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Manage budgets, P&L, forecasts, and financial performance metrics for the remittance business.
  • Work closely with other departments such as Product, Engineering, and Legal to ensure seamless product launches and regulatory compliance.
  • Carry out the tasks assigned by the line manager to drive the growth for the International Remittances business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the international remittance industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in managing a team and developing strategic plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
