Job Description

Reporting to the Senior HRBP, you will undertake a wide range of HR tasks. You will partner with the internal stakeholders to provide strategic advice and deliver business-centric HR solutions and support to their assigned business units. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to express new ideas and suggest solutions and ensure they are aligned with the business goals

Specifically, you will be responsible to:

  • contact and engage positively with business to align best practice HR solutions and delivery
  • work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
  • provide guidance and input on business unit structures, workforce planning and succession planning to ensure business units have the appropriate skills and capabilities to deliver their objectives
  • provide strategic support to business units to manage HR-related matters alongside employee lifecycle (e.g. onboarding new hires, learning strategy)
  • act as the point of contact for the Entity Heads and Managers, and proactively engage with them to consult on HR related matter
  • receive and implement concepts, processes and guidelines within the area of responsibility.
  • develop contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers
  • provide advice on performance management to Entity Heads and managers (e.g. coaching, counselling, career development)
  • identify and discuss performance issues with managers and coordinate with representatives to address any issues including disciplinary actions


You should have/be:

  • at least 8 -10 years HR management experience with a focus on workforce planning, performance management and employee relations. HR experience within higher education will be preferred but is not essential
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • a Master’s degree in Business Administration or Psychology or equivalent
  • demonstrated knowledge of local employment regulations and practices
  • ability to work independently and under pressure
  • ability to develop and maintain relationships with people at all levels
  • proficiency with using MS Office packages
