Job Description

Job Description: The Immunization Monitoring and Reporting Officer(s) will play a crucial role in data collection, analysis, and reporting for Routine Immunization programs. Collaborating closely with Field Monitors and Provincial Coordinators, the officer(s) will ensure accurate and timely data collection and generate comprehensive reports to drive program improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data collection protocols and tools tailored to project requirements, ensuring data security and compliance.
  • Train field monitors in data collection methods, ensuring consistency, and accuracy, and providing guidance for paper-based data submission when online submission is not available.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to maintain data integrity and protocol compliance.
  • Create monitoring visit plans and assign tasks for field activities, ensuring timely departure, vehicle readiness, and adherence to checklist protocols.
  • Analyze collected data to identify immunization trends, patterns, and key insights, emphasizing data compliance in the analysis.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance immunization coverage, considering local cultural contexts.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on monitoring findings, covering progress, challenges, and recommendations, with a strong focus on data compliance in reporting.
  • Maintain a well-organized database of collected data for easy access and compliance with data management protocols.
  • Collaborate with Provincial Coordinators to offer timely feedback and recommendations based on data analysis, always emphasizing data compliance.
  • Assist in creating action plans to address identified issues, with a commitment to data compliance in plan development.
  • Create visual representations of data, such as charts and graphs, to facilitate understanding of monitoring findings, ensuring compliance with data standards.
  • Collaborate with field monitors and Provincial Coordinators to streamline data collection processes and ensure data compliance at all stages.
  • Communicate monitoring findings and insights to relevant stakeholders, emphasizing data compliance in communication practices.
  • Provide training and technical support to field teams and enumerators on data collection methods and tools, highlighting data compliance and security.
  • Address other Reporting & program-related matters required by UNICEF or as needed, always maintaining a focus on data compliance and security.
  • Ensure that the results dashboard is accessible to all field teams, and key indicators are reported following established SOPs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as public health, epidemiology, statistics, social science, or data science.

Work Experience:

  • Proven experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting within health programs.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and software (e.g., Excel, databases).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Desirable experience in creating data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
