The Specialist DFS Operations is a member of the support and monitoring team, responsible for ensuring business continuity, addressing internal and external customer tickets, and monitoring application and system performance. The role directly reports to the Manager DFS Operations and oversees a team of seven individuals.
Responsibilities of the Specialist DFS Technical Operations include:
- Conducting system and application health checks and monitoring events.
- Performing operations and maintenance/health checks, and preparing and distributing reports.
- Monitoring critical scheduled tasks.
- Tracking incidents related to system/application/service issues reported by users through monitoring systems.
- Resolving and closing tickets within the agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Providing 24/7 system and application monitoring and support.
- Validating system backups.
- Executing and monitoring critical updates on the live system.
- Tracking and monitoring alarms.
- Preparing incident reports for issue resolution.
- Escalating incidents to vendor/backend teams for L2/L3 technical resolution.
- Optimizing and automating existing processes.

To be successful as a Specialist DFS Technical Operations, the following qualifications are desired:
- 1-3 years of working experience, preferably in a similar environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Good knowledge of mobile wallets and their workings.
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux/Unix.
- Proficiency in writing queries, including database procedures and functions.
- Good knowledge of databases such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Mongo, etc.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work as a team player.
- Self-driven and intellectually curious individual capable of engaging in impactful discussions with senior stakeholders.
