Position Overview:

As the SQA Lead at our software house, you will assume responsibility for leading and supervising the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team. Your role involves overseeing all aspects of software testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of top-notch software products to our clients. Your expertise in SQA methodologies and practices will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our software development procedures. This position offers full-time on-site employment. #LIONSITE

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

• Lead and manage a team of SQA professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Define clear objectives and expectations for the team, and ensure their effective fulfillment.
• Cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment, fostering professional growth and development.

Software Testing Strategy:

• Develop and execute the overall software testing strategy and test plans, taking into account project requirements, timelines, and risks.
• Establish and communicate testing standards, procedures, and methodologies to the SQA team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, project managers, and designers, to align testing efforts with project objectives.

Test Planning and Execution:

• Collaborate with project managers and development teams to comprehend project requirements and formulate comprehensive test plans.
• Coordinate and prioritize testing activities, ensuring comprehensive coverage across functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.
• Execute tests, analyze test results, and identify defects or areas for enhancement.

Test Automation:

• Identify opportunities for test automation and implement automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
• Continuously monitor and improve test automation processes to adapt to changing project requirements.

Quality Assurance Processes:

• Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct regular audits and evaluations of software development processes to pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with development teams to address identified issues and ensure continuous improvement.

Communication:

• Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and development teams, regarding software quality status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on test results, defect metrics, and overall software quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance, including a minimum of 3-4 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Proficiency in test management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Solid understanding of software development processes, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
