As a Technical Business Development Manager at our software house, you will play a pivotal role in steering our company’s growth and success. Your responsibilities encompass identifying and pursuing fresh business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and advocating for our software solutions and services. Your primary objectives will include lead generation, securing new clients, and expanding our customer base. #LI-onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  1. New Business Acquisition:
    • Identify potential clients and market segments, actively prospecting for new opportunities through platforms such as LinkedIn, AngelList, Apollo, Crunchbase, Upwork, and others where projects worth $10k – $25k+ are available.
    • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to recognize customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
    • Cultivate a robust sales pipeline by qualifying leads, conducting persuasive sales presentations, and deploying effective sales strategies.
  2. Client Relationship Management:

    • Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing international clients, gaining insights into their requirements and uncovering upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to international clients, offering insights, recommendations, and solutions to address their business challenges.
    • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their satisfaction, address concerns, and proactively seek feedback.
  3. Proposal Development and Negotiation:

    • Create and deliver compelling sales proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
    • Produce clear, concise documentation, including SRS (Software Requirements Specification), BRD (Business Requirements Document), BPR (Business Process Reengineering), and user manuals, to communicate project specifications, business processes, and user instructions.
    • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation.
    • Adhere to established documentation standards, styles, and templates.
    • Review and revise existing documentation to maintain consistency and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with the technical team to develop customized software solutions that align with client requirements.
    • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and other commercial aspects to secure profitable deals.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, marketing, or a relevant field.
  • Proven track record in software sales or business development, preferably within a software house or technology-focused environment.
  • Experience in the international market, specifically the USA.
  • 4-7 years of experience within a software house.
  • Strong knowledge of software solutions, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building long-term client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales, meet targets, and achieve revenue goals.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.

Additional Information:

  • Job Timings: For the first three months of probation, the shift will be from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. After successful completion of the probation period, the timings will change to the night shift, i.e., 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM.
